How you got started riding: I have always had a bike around. My family and I would frequently go for rides on the paved trails around town when they were not quite as developed as they are today. When I was 14 or so one of my best friends and I rode our bikes all night long, from sunset to sunrise, anywhere we could think of, and from that moment I never really stopped. I rode where I needed to go. In 2013, the same friend from that pivotal night and I convinced our parents to let us do Ragbrai without them or any other adults tagging along, that’s what really cemented the bicycle obsession.

Typical Ride: If I only have an afternoons worth of time I like to do what I call alley thrashin’, or hit up the Woodpecker MTB trails. I also love bombing huge hills on a road bike.
