Ryan’s Trek Top Fuel

This thing is top notch, every component choice is dialed, and that paint — “Marigold to Red to Purple Abyss Fade”. So good.

This is Baker’s 2022 Trek Top Fuel. Size XL.

Its February and its cold right now, but this Top Fuel has been hanging out at the shop all winter, patiently waiting for some warmer weather and drier trails. The Top Fuel has 120mm on travel front and back, 29x2.6 Maxxis Rekons, a full SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS groupset and dropper, and some color matched Wolf Tooth headset spacers for some bling on top of all that other bling. This thing is a great ripper for the trails we have around Iowa City but is still capable enough to be a fun ride for the destination trips it is sure to be taken on — Bentonville, Moab, Duluth type riding.

SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS is pretty insane. The shifting is great, the oil-slick is cool, the weight is low, AND its all wireless. That means there aren’t any cables on this entire bike. The brakes are hydraulic, the dropper is bluetooth, not a single cable anywhere.

This bike is packed with all the new fangled mountain bike tech and it wears it well. I’m excited to see it get some more dirt on it as we get into the season and hear how stoked Baker gets on it.
