Reservoir (Res) Loop

Distance: 13 miles

A great introduction to what Iowa City has to offer a road rider, this quick Northern loop will take you out towards the Lake Macbride recreation area, over the dam and past the Devonian Fossil Gorge.

Hills Loop

Distance: 17 miles

When you’re crunched for time but want to get in a quick 20ish miles, this is the route for you.  Wide shoulders, long straight stretches, and moderate traffic make this a simple no-nonsense choice.

Sugar Bottom Loop

Distance: 25 miles

Voted Iowa’s favorite cycling route in 2015, this route covers wonderful rolling pavement north of Iowa City towards the beautiful Coralville Reservoir. There are a few hefty climbs, including the “The Wall”, the most infamous hill in the area. 

Oxford Loop

Distance: 40.2 miles

A delightful jaunt West of Iowa City with plenty of speedy straightaways – just make sure you check the wind direction before you head out!

Riverside Loop

Distance: 58.2 miles

Rolling hills heading south on Vine Avenue may offer a bit of a challenge. Heading West on G36/220th Street there is some heavier traffic, but heading north on Riverside road is a true pleasure if you can catch a tailwind!

Bryan’s Favorite Route

Distance: 71.7 miles

Old shop manager Bryan’s favorite route across Johnson County. A combination of a few of the best routes- Cheese Haus, Oxford, and Sugar Bottom.
