Come prepared with any questions beyond fixing tires and bring any tools or bike related accessories you might have questions about!! Email me with any questions: firstname.lastname@example.org
Be Seen! Ride with lights!
Ahhh the joy of fall… beautiful leaves, perfectly crisp temperatures, and of course daylight savings time. While the fall and winter months can be some of the most enjoyable times to get out on your bike it can also be dangerous. With the sun going down much earlier it can be really easy to get stuck riding in the dark. This is not only dangerous, but you can actually be ticketed for it, as it is illegal in Iowa. According to law 321.397 cyclists are required to have a white headlight and taillight or red reflector from sunset to sunrise or when conditions reduce visibility, and these lights must be visible from 300′ away. Here at the shop we have several great options for both front and rear lights to help make sure you are being safe and seen while riding in low light. These are just some of our favorites…
Come join the WoB crew as we welcome our reps from 45NRTH for an open house! They will be on hand to talk about their winter riding gear and we have the redesigned Wolvhammer and Japanther cycling boots to try on.
We will be offering in house specials on the 45NRTH gear that night plus offer up some tasty snacks and beverages.
As a bonus, our Salsa rep will be in attendance for any of your Salsa questions.
Look forward to seeing you at WoB on the 18th!!
After struggling for years to try and find cycling bags that suited his adventurous bikepacking style, Alaska native Eric Parsons decide to take to his old sewing machine and create some bags of his own. It wasn’t long after that he realized there was a demand for a line of cycling bags that were specifically dialed in for bike touring and bikepacking adventures. Today his company Revelate Designs supplies a wide range of bags for touring, mountain, and fat bikes of all varieties. The bags are all designed and manufactured in the United States, and all of us at World of bikes are crazy about this company and their quality products. We are currently carrying several of their bags, and thanks to Eric Parsons’ innovative thinking we really do have something for everyone. Check out some of our favorites after the break!!
Heading into the off-season we will be changing our hours.
These hours will go into affect on Monday, September 28th!
